My research focuses on the geochemistry of bivalve shells, with a particular emphasis on the common cockle, Cerastoderma edule. By calibrating trace element and stable isotope signatures preserved in its shell, I aim to develop Cerastoderma edule as a geochemical archive of environmental change. This work contributes to improving understanding of both modern and paleoenvironmental conditions, including variations in temperature and salinity across its coastal habitat range throughout Europe.
