Mirjam Weituschat started her PhD in 2025 in the project MOOSland which involves the implementation of a peatmoss paludiculture model and demonstration site in north-western Germany. She contributes to the project by analyzing UAV data to estimate the Sphagnum cover and by enabling the transferability to satellite data.
In 2023, Mirjam completed her Master's degree in Landscape Ecology at the University of Greifswald with a focus on peatland science and worked for the Greifswald Mire Center (GMC).
