Peter Stoll holds a degree in geography and is curator of the map collection of the Institute of Geography and Geology. In this function he is responsible for the maintenance of the various holdings of the collection as well as their expansion. Particular attention is currently being paid to the development of a digital catalogue in which the objects in the collection can be searched via the internet and are also largely available as digital copies. In addition, Peter Stoll is available to students and staff in their search for map material and is the contact person for the loan of analogue maps, including wall maps.
Peter Stoll studied geography at the University of Bayreuth, specialising in urban and regional planning. He has been the curator of the map collection at the Institute of Geography and Geology since 2012.
