Petra Wiese is a technical draughtswoman and is responsible for digital image processing and duplication in the Remote Sensing and Geoinformation Processing working group. One focus of her work is the digitisation of the objects in the map collection. Petra Wiese has been at the Institute of Geography and Geology since 1981 and has produced numerous drawings and graphics for publications and doctoral theses, among other things. From 1979 to 1981 she was trained as a mechanical draughtswoman at the NEG (Nachrichtenelektronik Greifswald).
